Founded and established this nonprofit environmental education and research organization as a leading institution in Michigan. Recipient of 1987 Governor's Environmental Excellence Award for Hazardous Waste Management Information. Managed staff of 4-8 to secure major foundation grants; undertook federal and state contractual projects; organized and conducted major state/regional conferences & workshops; published a state/regional/national magazine, guidebooks and reports; coordinated large workgroups of diverse interests to gain consensus on technical issues; and operated an innovative national waste reduction/exchange program.

public utility plans throughout the State of Michigan. Prepared a detailed
analysis and plan for the Grand Rapids public water system and prepared detailed
plans for water and sewer services and future land use patterns in Kent County,
Michigan. Also prepared several county solid waste management plans.
